Show us the full error message and you'll get help faster.

Also, what if any antivirus programs do you have? Some of them tend
to cause such problems.

Gary,

Thanks for your great help.
Installing WMutil.exe is a permanent solution for this Windows Mail
"Struck-Up" problem??! I really don't think so. It released one message and
started getting struck again.

Per advise, I'm installing WLM, but still curious to know, if Microsoft has
released the new version

Thanks again.
Felix

If you're using POP3 as the host name, that's the problem. POP3 is not
a valid host name. Ask your email provider (who is probably also your
internet provider) for their instructions for setting up to use their email
servers. This may lead to the instructions:

If they haven't written instructions for Windows Mail yet, use their
instructions for Outlook Express but under Windows Mail instead.

If that's not enough, show us the entire error messages.

When I try to delete the 1st message in the OUTBOX that seems to be holding
up the sending of subsequent messages, I get a message "Unknown error has
occurred". Then another box drops down with the message "Deleting messages"
but none get deleted.

Download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or
the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first. Certain common
antivirus programs, such as most of those from Norton or McAfee,
or a recent one from Trend, tend to cause such problems, so if you
have such a program, remember where to find the fix - you are likely
to need it again.

I have the exact same problem as Cecil. This is not Comcast's problem. This
is a Vista problem.....Microsoft please help!!!!!!!

POP3 is not a valid server name. You need to ask your email provider
(who is probably also your internet provider) for their instructions for
setting up to use their email servers. If they haven't written instructions
for Windows Mail yet, use their instructions for Outlook Express but
under Windows Mail instead. The instructions are probably somewhere
on their web site. Or, you could tell us who your email provider is and
see if anyone here already knows where to find the instructions.

If that's not enough, you need to show us the entire error message.

You'll get more help showing the complete error message.

You probably have an invalid server name, and need to ask your
email provider (who is probably also your internet provider) for
their instructions to set up to use their email servers. If they
