mmm we ll see !!

Just had another e mail from Davey to tell me my papers with accounts and that I will get my refund within next 3 to 5 days......

ill let you know of course

the muppets forgot to pay the bill

Oh the joys of a mesh refund, this is the real fun starts!! Now lets see the excuses for you not getting the refund through will it be, their working on it, the paper work is going through at the moment, there was a delay with the paperwork, the funds have been released or it takes 3 to 5 days for the bank to transfer the money. Or they may come up with a new one.

Well Mesh going off line for a day certainly got people worried that Mesh had gone bust or trading standards had raided them or Microsoft were on the case. All sadly wrong, all down to a fuse in a sub-station, oh well I’m sure one day it will be true and they will close down.

Hope all works out; keep us posted with your mesh saga!

mesh can seriously damage your health

With Mesh going off line & no phones due to a major power failure got a few wondering if mesh had gone bust, sadly they are still in business, well for the time being anyway. Seems Brent Trading Standards as a big file on them!!

Well just for the record Glasgow trading standards are absolutly useless

, apparently in any givin situation there is nothing they can do. Having had legal advice i was told that comsumer statutory rights entitle you to a replacement with the equivelant or better product. But according to Glagow trading standards this isnt the case, in fact all they have to do is give you something close to the original:confused:.
I just think Glasgow TS couldnt be arsed doing anything about it, i even told them about muppets history with brent trading standards, and i was gunned down quite cheakily, and told that they have nothin to do with each other. HAVE WE GOT NO RIGHTS IN THIS COUNRTY?

muppet pc's r still a bunch of muppets

Trading Standards seem ok in my area, happy to help and give advice.

Was funny last week though when the muppets had a big power cut in the Brent area, the muppet empire ground to a halt, all over the net people presumed that they had gone bust, had been raided by trading standards or by microsoft. All sadly wrong, but i'm sure the muppets day will come sooner or later:thumb:

Yeah i think its just a Glasgow thing murdoch, all our council departments are just full of lazy cheeky people, that get rather annoyed if you ask them to do something for you. In fact its not just the council departments come to think of it, but they are the worst bcoz they have a wee bit of power.

Oh by the way Davey has been talkin down to some more people on the IT reviews forum, only no back up this time from a FE, so the shoe is on the other foot

"Davey" can flex his muscle on sites were they let him get away with it, the trouble is as a puppet for the muppets he thinks he's a ard lad doing it. Most users of the muppets know Davey is only on the scene just before the poo is about to hit the fan!

[Murdoch has been off on a bit of scrumpy tasting weekend, but will be back soon]

muppets on the phone

So whats the longest or shortest time you have had to wait on line for Mesh to answer the phone to you? And please no rude comments about the muppets:lol:

Last week phoned the muppets and was on hold for 30 minutes, but yes the 020 number is answered quicker.

good news

Heu Murdoch ...... Mesh have refunded the total cost back into my card accout. Only took two days after my last e mail to Davey,, telling him that i was giving him 24 hours to sort it ... wll he did and i got all my money back.. That was after I told you about them going off line... I think they took affence at me saying they had gone bust eh... any way good luck to everyone else.

My advice would be... Dont let them bully you.. Do what I did and use the law..

They are in the wrong, and trading standards will back you up.

Sale of Goods act 1978 as ammended " fit for purpose"

See you

Think "Davey" probably googled your name like i did and realised that you may know what your talking about, unlike the muppets & the muppets puppet Davey. For you the muppet saga is over, of course the muppets being off line for a while was really funny so many thought they had gone bust.

Don't forget a Mesh pc works for a few months and not for years :D

Hi all,

I was considering buying a new MESH computer. In fact, I have a Mesh now, and it is dieing a slow death. I have had problems with this one for the past few years and I figured it was due to me trying to install Windows XP without enough memory on the machine (it is 5 years old). A mate of mine has a MESH and he was had no problems in 4 years.

So I was trying to decide between a model with Intel Pentium D and AMD 64 X2. MESH seemed to have the best deals on both and I was reassured by the 3 year warranty. I was trying to figure out it I should spend the extra £150 to get the one with the AMD 64 X2 processor and when searching for reviews, when I came across this forum.

I am glad so glad I found it! You have successfully managed to put me off MESH for good!

So my question for you is, would you buy a Dell? They were my next choice and have some good deals. So I think I am going to go with them but just thought I'd check to see if there are any horror stories, or if Dell owners are generally happy???

Nope!

They don't do AMD ... well not directly. :)

Unfortunately I wouldn't buy off any propriety manufacturer unless I could look inside first ... then It would be MY price, not the one on the ticket. ;)

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a " propriety manufacturer"??

Re Dell not doing AMD, true, but I'd probably be happy with Intel Pentium D930 if the price is right. Basically my budget is £700-800 and I can get a semi-decent machine from Dell for that.

Who would you recommend?

glad we could help

Hi Stellar, Glad we were able to stop you from being yet another mesh victim:thumb: It does really depend on each persons view on a company, in the NHS down South a lot of pc's are either Elonex (who have had a problem with motherboards) Viglen (who cater for OK specs for a work place & low end graphics) Dell (who provide decent pc's but only Intel cpu's).

My mesh pc runs fine, but only as i know what i'm doing, well i think i do:rolleyes:

Muckshifter knows his stuff;) & often you get a better service from a smaller company.
You got shares in 3B systems then Muckshifter:p

Nope, my brother used to work for them ... just find them handy, someone is on the end of the phone, they don't hide anything ... they ain't the cheapest around but the RMA is easy.

Remember the graphics card I bought off them, and found out Oblivion needed a better card ... well I traded it in for a better one, and got discount.

It's always good to find a local company that makes good systems, i use a company in a village near me. Some parts are the same as maplins but at half the price:)

muppets are crap at providing support to us all

Good to see the Mesh are spending the profits of they make from us all on still charging us all vast sums to get help from them, when ringing their 0870 tech support number. Typical from a company that offers sh1te service to it's customers & wheels out the chief muppet puppet in "Davey" to sort problems out before the poo hits the fan.
