I did the same thing. So as things go, the spelling is being checked the was

I too had this issue with the error message "Language is no longer

options dialoge".
and changed it to German then did the spell check (it
was written in English) and when I did the spell check it said the spelling
check was complete (indicating it was correct)! So I then changed the spell
check back to "English" and
misspelled words on purpose-it still said your spelling check is complete.
Any
other suggestions?

in your EDIT window use TOOLS Spell Checking or the F7 key

(e-mail address removed)

Ok. So how did you set up your email to spellcheck before sending?

Hi Mick,

As far as I heard no. The replacement for Windows Mail, from what I
heard, will be Windows Live Mail. Maybe it will have it. ??

Shawn

No it doesn't.

Well Carla I'm from old school and "Websters", may very well be your best
bet. We live in a woman/man vs. machine generation!

In my opinion, the current WM spell checker is much better
than what we had with OE. WLM's spell checker even checks
each word right after you type it, and if it doesn't like what it sees,
it underlines the word with a red squiggly line, just like Word does it.

Whenever you make a major setting change, it is always best to
close and then restart the program.

If Options does not appear under Tools, then you are in the wrong screen.
Go to the main Windows Mail screen, not the message compose screen.

(Side note: I really don't understand why people are having so much difficulty
finding this.)

We're having problems because once spellchck starts it's check you can't do
anything to get out that page. It's a dead end. Even if spell check does not
work correctly the only exit is to send.

When I click Cancel in the spelling window I get a choice of whether or not
to send. You don't?

I solved my problem this way. IN the main screen, under Options/Spelling. I checked the box for german, then I ran a spellcheck butt cancelled it after 3 words, then I changed the language back to English, and it now works.

Thank you Gary.
I am glad someone has the knowledge to help correct these problems.
Otherwise I would still be scratching my head trying to figure it out.
Again, Thank You soooo much

Windows Just Sucks, there is no two ways about it. We all have to use it,
but we all hate it. Why can't anything on windows ever work like it is
supposed to? Now that I had my rant, all you have to do is go into
tools:options:spelling and click on spanish or german then click on english
again, apply changes. Problem solved, why would you have to do that? Who
knows, it sucks, its stupid, but thats how problems are solved on windows
machines.

Gary, What a bunch of garbage. Ford and GM don't relocate the gas, brake
and shift knob every year either! Or Change D from Drive to Park... Core
functions that are present on a GUI should function "PERIOD" without
backscreen manipulation it is arrogant to assume that relearning is the
purpose of software. I argue the oposite, its purpose is to improve
productivity and make things less intrusive for the operator to process, if
it doesn't then the product is garbage not the operators!
