i have had an unsent message stuck in my outbox for a while now.everything i
do to try & delete it fails to work.it has stopped me from emailing out but i
can receive emails.keeps coming up as an error has occured.then a box pops up
asking me if i want to send now.dosnt matter if i press yes or no it still
does nothing.

We usually need the complete error message, not just a summary of it, to
offer much help. Right click on it and copy it to your next message.

However, if you specified the server name as POP3, that's an invalid
server name, even though it's a valid protocol. In this case, also tell us
which email provider you are trying to use. Many people choose
their internet providers as their email providers also, since most internet
accounts include one or more email accounts.

Dear Gary - well your advice is still being used. I have had problems with
unsent messages and discovered this site and your advice. As a novice in
this "fix-it-myself" game I am very grateful. Problem now fixed. Thanks,
Jaydub

You're very welcome. Glad you found that old post of mine and were
able to use it to fix your problem. However, it is better to consult the latest
posts first, because fixes get updated and replaced by newer ones.
