This occurs with all my outgoing mail from windows mail. Can you help me?

You should have started a new thread, instead of piggy-backing on to this
one, please do that next time that you have a problem.

To sort out your current error message you need to go to
Tools>accounts>select your account>properties>advanced tab>and enable the
SSL option on both Incoming and Outgoing servers.

Also ensure that you do not have two mail accounts with the same settings?

Vista is total crap!!!! I will never buy another computer that comes with
microsoft crap like vista! I just bought this top of the line dell and I
didn't want tp pay an extra $140.00 more to get XP. I wish I had! I've been
using computers for almost 25 years and this vista is the biggest crap I've
ever had to work with. I may throw this damn cpu in the trash and buy a Mac!!

Vista is not bad. You just have to learn how to use it, as it's a bit
different from XP.
What is your problem with Windows Mail?

Yeah, they did a really lousy job and screwed up a number of people. You
are not alone.

steve

Go to Windows Update and update your system.

Hi Gary,

How do I find out what a 64 bit vista is and how to use 32 bit option?
I need to solve this problem...

Thanks for your help!

Try Microsoft's fix:

"Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a
computer that is running Windows Vista"

That page offers two download options. Unless you know for sure
you have 64-bit Vista, use the 32-bit option.

You are quoting a very old post of mine. Older advice is often
superseded by newer developments. Make sure you have Vista's
SP1 installed, and SP2 would be good also.
