Giganews. I click on any of my posts from yesterday and they're gone. This
usually happens when I get too nasty.

Now that you've found some (more or less) tolerant posters, you need to
find a more tolerant NNTP server :-)

A few of mine disappear, as I mentioned, and I'm *never* nasty (yeah,
sure). In fact, the ones that I've lost are pretty ordinary. No rhyme
nor reason...

And I stopped using RWs for repeated backups a while ago. They failed for
me after maybe 8 or 10 backups.

I don't remember the brand. Probably not Fry's house brand, though :-)
I tried Memorex once and after about 2-4 uses they were shot.

Because of the repartee between you and Michael.

Oh, you mean the reference to a 'moron.' Well, maybe I am one but I have
a degree in Electronics and a degree in Industrial Engineering -
graduated with highest honors in both colleges. I've been in charge of
Quality Assurance in most of my positions and have worked for some very
high profile companies. Some years ago, my picture was on the cover of
USA today. Of course, now that I've retired, I've develop a bad case of
CRS in addition to the nerve damage in my head (which causes severe pain
a good part of the day). Please don't take my comments as bragging - but
sometimes I feel like I have to defend myself (Michael???). Anyway, I
take it all with a grain of salt. College degrees get you in the door -
but I've met a lot of people that I consider smarter than me and don't
have any formal education. One of my sons is one of those people. He's
my youngest son and makes more than I ever dreamed of making (salary). He
started his own company and now sells to a large number of companies both
in the USA and in Europe. He quit high schoo; when he was 15 years old.
Oh, well...........
