This is a very good program, but i was wondering how i am to save any affects
used on a picture to a differant folder like my photo album? So i could have
it on photo story 3 as well as in my pictures. please reply with atleast an
answer of any sort.

Pause the story as it plays in the Windows Media Player and take a snapshot
at the point you want... and save the snapshot in your picture folder. The
Print Screen feature, IrfanView, Movie Maker, and other apps have the
ability to capture a single picture.

This was very helpful and will come in handy. One quick question... is there
a way to create title and credit slides that have a solid colored background.
My stories seem to start and end abrubtly without the benefit of opening and
closing title slides. Please advise.

Greg

John,
Thank you for your prompt reply. I was hoping to do this within Photo Story
3 but your solution is one I hadn't considered. Perhaps in future releases
they may consider the capability of adding blank slides that users can add
text to if they wish. Thanks too for the link in your reply. I will
bookmark it and use it for future reference.
All the best.
Greg

You're welcome.

Maybe you should try Movie Maker...
it has more options. For adding Titles
in Movie Maker...go to...Tools / Titles
and Credits.

I want to use Photo Story 3 for my photos. I have all my photos on paper. I
want to scan all of it & want to see it on my TV. How high or low resolution
I use for scan.

Can you do the same things in Movie Maker as in PhotoStory? Is PhotoStory
better in some ways than Movie Maker? Thanks for answer.

Thanks for answer.

Movie Maker works with video and / or still
images. Photo Story only works with still
images and is easier for a beginner to learn.

If you are running Windows XP, you have
Movie Maker...and Photo Story 3 is a free
download...why not try them for yourself?

You can find some useful info at the following

Great article. Question: Is there a way to transistion pictures over one
another? Such as over-lapping?

Thanks,

Hello!

Say, in reading this article - where he talks about...

"If the resolution of your pictures is high enough to be viewed this way,
you can discover a lot of hidden detail because a standard 5Mpx digital
camera has almost four times the resolution of your computer screen (1.3Mpx
at 1280x1024) and more than 15 times the resolution of 640x480 video."

Create a blank (coloured) page in a program like Photoshop of at least
600x800 pixels.

To animate text, I create some text, centre align it on a title page and
"customize motion" >>
Specify start and end position>> create a box with the text at the bootom
and extending to the top of the frame for the "start" >> set start same as
end (this will create the same size box in the "end" frame)>> move this box
straight down sothat the text is at the top.

Dear Vladimir,

My 20.9 MB file cant be built into a story (the one for Step 3). I always
get this message all the time, "There is not enought memory or disk space to
complete this operation, or program files for Photo Story 3 Windows or
Windows Media Player are missing or may be corrupted. Quit other programs,
free additional space on your hard disk, and then try again. If the issue is
not resolved, reinstall Photo Story 3 for windows and Windows Media Player."
My disk space is 8GB and because of this I also changed my RAM to 1GB. I
had uninstalled and reinstalled Window Media Player and Photo Story 3 for 3
times. I had tried another 66.3 MB file (set into automatic panning and
zooming) and it was ok. My 20.9 MB file contains a lot of display time less
than 0.5 seconds of series of transitions. Do you think this is the problem?
How can I solve this problem?

Your response is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Sincerely yours,

Rolando

Can someone help me, I bought two kinds of cds to use on the story, but
nothing is working, it saves my files, but merging them together seems to be
the problem, any suggestions.

PS2, which I used before with out a problem, but now this version will only
allow 5 pictures. Will someone pleas send me instructions oh how to burn a

=====================================
All the different programs and versions
can get quite confusing.

As you discovered...Photo Story 3 does
not have the option to burn a VCD. If you
previously burned a VCD with PS2 you must
have had MS Plus! Digital Media Edition
or Microsoft Digital Image Suite software
installed.

It's possible that your burner came with
software that has an option to burn a VCD.
Check your manual for instructions.

As I understand it...the 30 day trial version
of Corel Photo Album 6 has the option to
burn a VCD.
