But they are not the ONLY computers that have a Phoenix BIOS, doofus.
You specifically stated: "Since you have to press DEL to enter the
BIOS, you probably have a Dell machine."

Probably have? Nope. Might have? Yep.

Probably have. Dell buys far more BIOS chips with the Phoenix BIOS
than homebuilders like you.

That's typical of dumb asses such as yourself that have no valid argument,
name calling. Get off your parents computer and go play hopscotch or
something.

I have no clue what Daily Kos is, and I've booted PC's to safe mode
more times than most have booted their PC's in total, so please go
whine somewhere else.

Ah, okay. As Sherlock Holmes said: "If you've eliminated all other
possibilities, whatever's left, no matter how improbable, must be the
answer."

You are insane. Sorry.

Terry.
Thanks.
You were right. There was some difficulty getting into boot manager - I had
several attempts.
For a reason I cannot explaint, LS-120 was first choice. I do not know why.
I have never had an LS-120 (was that the higher capacity floppy?)
However, accepting that; I fail to understand why it should take all that
time searching for something which is not there. In the old days when the
floppy was the conventional first choice it took a second or so to check for
floppy and then go to next preference (usually hard disk)
Thanks to all who tried to help.

Yes, the LS-120 was a high capacity floppy. Glad to hear you got it fixed.
