Will MS allow me to buy Vista early?

Dr. Edison, this link leads to a Microsoft newsgroup which contains
this current microsoft.public.windows.vista.installation thread, and
nothing else.

WHERE is the so-called "link where we will be able to buy keys", as
you claim?

Please don't waste our time with your idiocy.

The facts are, Microsoft Vista is NOT yet available for public
download. PERIOD.

If you downloaded Microsoft Vista, it did NOT come from an
officially-sanctioned Microsoft web-site, and for that reason alone,
is a PIRATED version.

While the build number of the software you downloaded may or may not
be the actual build number of Vista RTM, it STILL is not an official
Microsoft build.

I certainly wouldn't be advertising your crime in a public newsgroup,
sir (or Doctor, if you prefer).

If you are a Doctor (of whatever sort), you also bring dishonor to
your profession by advertising yourself pubically as being a software
pirate (and criminal). You should be ashamed of yourself, sir.

Just wait a month, like the rest of us. Then Vista will be officially
released to the general public, and you can then be sure of getting a
valid key and DVD installation package from Microsoft, the producers
of the software. Then you can have a clear conscience (unless, of
course, you are actually a sociopath, and have no conscience anyway).

Answer: From what I have perused thus far, there seems no one who nose what
the fek is goin`on with this query.

Hi Jane,Thanks for the clear, consice and detailed answer. That's what I'm
going to do. When Vista hits CompUsa in a couple of weeks, I'll buy the DVD &
license.
I'm still trying to decide between the 32 and 64 bit edition. Since I'm
running a 64 but processor, it kinda makes sence to me to go with the 64 bit.
I've checked and most of my hardware has (or will have) 64 bit drives
available. I've also noticed that the harware companies are a bit slower to
develop and release drives in 64 bit. Do you think that with Vista poised to
hit the streets, we'll see better support for 64 bit drivers?

Have you installed Vista64 RTM and run Winupdate from it as this is where
the 64 bit drivers may first appear may first appear?
 
No. Right now I'm running the 32-bit RTM. What I've been doing is watching
and reading about 64 bit driver availability from the companies that
manufacture hardware that I have. What I've been noticing is that they are
slower to release 64 bit drivers. I have read that in 2007 there will be much
more 64 but support. So I'm wondering if I should just go with a 64 bit
install and hope for beter driver support in the near future.
I'm basically trying to avoid having to install Vista + all my work apps
then having to do so again when 64 support becomes more widesperad.

The point I was trying to make is that they may be releasing them to MS so
that they can get WHQL approval and will become avaialble via WinUpdate
before they are ever announced as available on their own Websites especially
since the first official Vista release is still 2 weeks away and they would
prefer to stay out of the loop with the end user till an official release or
later.
 
i have an RTM ATM and just FYI i think it sucks IMHO and BTW this thread is
the most absurd useless waste of resource ever. i cant believe i actualy read
most of it..... i am soooo stupid, why, why did i do it, and why did i reply
wasting even more time ........
