They are, of course, absolutely correct -- as long as they actually read
the incoming post -- which some fail to do entirely -- and then just bugle
and rabbit.

Generally, However:

Top People Top Post.

Bottom People Bottom Post.

BUT intelligent posting style is situationally driven to some extent.

I generally top post -- but also interlinear post and even bottom post
when the situation requires it.

The reason many MVPs top post is because they think it's the better to
way
to post, just as the reason many non-MVPs top-post is because they think
it's the better way to post.

LOL. Yeah, besides, what person in his right mind could possibly think that
bottom posting is good? Why would anyone want to scroll through a message
they just read 1.2 milliseconds ago? Who cares about people coming in out of
the blue. If the preceding posts are important to them, they can just go
look at them.

Bottom posters should be banised from all discussion groups on the planet.
It's just plain dumb.

Those are the same people who jabber on their cell phones in theatres
and libraries.

They only care about themselves.

I don't care if people top post or bottom post, but if you care about
your fellow Usenet poster you won't make him scroll through several
screens of quoted text before getting to the new text. Most of us
have no need to read all the old stuff over and over again.

Anyone stupid enough to use OE as a newsreader shouldn't even be discussing
this issue because we all know that Microsoft puts the cursor at the top of
the post when replying to a post.

Gee, I have no problem moving the cursor down.
See, it moves! (Even in OE/WinMail)
