MS is in trouble....

I am afraid they will use "other" tactics to force people to upgrade
if they want some
benefits....

I REALLY hate to say this, but linux is starting to look better and
better....

Have you seen Apple OS X lately too?

The only thing I'm sure about in computing is that if you want to keep
yourself in a job, you need to know more than one system because you never
know when a quiet platform will take off like crazy or another solid one
will blow up on the launchpad.

So far, it looks like Vista is going to compare to Windows XP as Windows ME
compared to Windows 98SE.

So the outsider has got to the PC and logged in. These mouse click
inefficiencies will not deter the outside from doing what they, only
taking a few more mouse clicks.

Once someone is in, they're in. These new things offer no security
at that point, only more work. One cannot solve physical security
with inefficient design.

I'm sure the number of popups will be drastically reduced.

Even so, with all the brilliant minds employed at Microsoft, they must do
better than "don't say I didn't warn ya!"

I have used all versions of windows, all mainstream (and some not so
mainstream) versions of linux
and Mac OS from version 8 and up

Also some other OS systems that are not mainstream, and older ones (like
amiga OS workbench)

:-)
