the message could not be deleted

Frank, I have the same problem of not being able to delete email
m/essages. I went to view but there was no "layout" option. Any other
suggesions
 
To see the correct View command, you must be In the main screen of
Windows Mail, not the message compose screen.

Highlight the message you want to delete. Then Go to "File" (I think that's
where I did it) and mark the message as "unread". You will then be able to
delete it.
 
Sorry, highlight the message, go to "edit" and mark the message as "unread".
Then you can delete it.

I have the same issue. My preview pane is not on. I tried fiddling with
that both ways, but I can't delete the message.
 
Please start your own new thread and explain /your/ problem in detail.
