I have used Agent as my newsreader for more than five years. However
since going from cable to a DSL wireless net connection I find that
problems have developed that I cannot solve, i.e.,I can only send post
of very limited size.

I believe some ISPs have rules that regulate the response \ quoted
material ratio.

I just started using it yesterday and I like it so far.. Seems to have
all the features I need. I had been using Xnews, which I really like
also, so I may go back to that if I get tired of Gravity. So far so
good though...

Everyone's got their opinions I guess...

I happen to like Gravity, but I like Dialog better.

See "double entendre."

Yea, me too.

Wait! Are you sure it's not your wife?

I hope you are aware what "gravity of the wife" means. It means, he must
keep even faster on the ground, because now family life will start, no
more nights out in the bar.

Just tried Dialog again, and I don't care for it much. Gravity has much
nicer features, in my very humble opinion... :)

Ha! First it was my parents, then it was a couple of wives... now, it's
just gravity.

The bad part is that gravity always wins in the end. Some day when we
achieve world peace and erase hunger and disease, we will search for a
solution to the real enemy: GRAVITY!

Maybe Dialog has too many features. This is fairly common. Some programs
have so many features it's hard to wrap your mind around it.

GRAVITY. A weapon of *mass* destruction!

Ask Steve Hawking, maybe he can help you. At least he managed to put
"The Universe in a Nutshell"

I get all tangled up in String Theory. Astrophysics is way bigger than me.

I was pleased to hear the latest theory on the shape of the universe was
named in honor of (Jean Luc) Picard. It's sort of a hollow 3D funnel shape,
not unlike my head.

Nope, just didn't have the features I want. Xnews and Gravity can be
configured to flag replies to your messages and play a sound and so on.
They can also be set up to download headers every xx minutes. And quite a
bit more as well..

All these things can be done easy in Dialog, and much more...

Obviously you must use the newsreader you like better, however you can't
say "just didn't have the features I want" and make the examples "can be
configured to flag replies to your messages and play a sound", while Dialog
can be configured to do it.

I don't think you're interested anymore, but this is a good link:
