Not if you know how to use them and have the cursor speed, etc., set
right.

Fraid so. The fundamental problem is that you move your
hand too much and thats awkward for the button use.
Like everything else in life, they aren't for everyone.

Yep, hardly anyone prefers them to mice.
I need no desktop room to work this TB.

Sure, but its still operationally not as convenient.
I built a ramp for the pad that makes it easier on the wrist.

Thats only part of the problem tho.
I have those too, and they are a must. I also like the double-clik on
the scroll-wheel. The trackball uses the same driver as M$ optical mice,
and has the same features.

But isnt anywhere near as convenient for the hand to use.
The hand doesnt move with a mouse, the mouse does.
If I was having a problem it would make sense, but everything is fine.

No it isnt.
TV is at 45° right and a small (21") CRT screen. No room in this office
for a big screen.

I need more than one monitor, quite apart from the TV.
I also have a TV tuner card, but don't
routinely watch, just record with it.

I prefer to watch and compute from the same place where everything is.

When I established an account years ago they sent me perforated forms
in a roll, 100 at a time, and they've always been multi-part forms.

Sure, but that doesnt necessarily mean that that is all there is available.
So do you need to put each of five copies in the printer one at a time?

Nope, there is only one thing printed, it goes on the
box and the system uses the barcodes for everything
else once it leaves your place. They dont even have
you sign a piece of paper when you receive the
parcel anymore, you sign on a PDA instead.
I fear they make these to last just past the warranty period,

I've never bought that line. It isnt possible to design things that way.
but you use your keyboard more than average. Making them this way is
cheaper,
Sure.

and they probably sell more keyboards this way.

Dunno, most claim that their letters dont wear
off so thats not likely to be a major effect.
