of course it's the english one - if you replace ../rc1/en/.. with /rc1/de/
you get the german version and so on..

One good thing, many were expecting it to be available
on or after Sept. 7. And, it looks like Microsoft hasn't sent
out any emails, yet. Some folks may get a good jump without
the servers getting jammed up. Also, Microsoft and Akamai
probably learned a thing or two since Beta 2.

Once word spreads, and it will fast- the real crunch time
will come after folks get off of work on the East Coast.

that's what Microsofts Server are used to expect when they set up a public
URL..
The already did the test-drive with Pre-RC1, so ..

And like I said : it is useless if one has no valid Key, just one more
reminder.

Not having a key will not stop the many that will download it anyway.
They will then show up here asking/begging/lying to get a key.

Some may go ahead and download it knowing that there will be
another CPP signup opportunity, then all they have to do is wait
for their key.

-Michael

"Also lots of people whether they have a key or not will download it."

Too funny- I just said the same to you in a reply.

-Michael

that's why I posted it here, because these newsgroups are mainly used by
already testers,

as soon as I found the links working.

Takes only hours until the URL will appear worldwide in every forum and
PC-magazines websites and so on..

Also lots of people wether they have a key or not will downlaod it. You know
reality and you know the folks trying to hack and crack every software they
can get "free"..

But that is not my fault. Its just the hype Microsoft is setting free, and I
bet they have calculated the bandwith-risks carefully.

Thanks Sascha for the link.

Just to get off to a good start, I tried to download using the Manager
and also using my browser, the manager is still going, but they kicked
the browser off, probably limited to one per customer at any one time.

BTW :

I just read that e-frontier / contentparadise is giving away for free Poser5
Software with a full serial key if you are luck to get one until 8th
September ...
Their Servers also get hammered right now.

It is not alone A Microsoft-Phenomen, as you see. People take ALL they can
get free.Even Betas and trials..

You need 2.52 gig for a complete file.

And we go through all the old questions again. "How do I upgrade my IE7 to
IE7 RC1? I downloaded it but it won't install!" and so on.
