Because they have turned this into a chatroom. It's ok to post off
topic stuff as long as you are certain people

Just like in these threads

Subject: Why www.ugroups.com sucks
Subject: Spam sucks
Subject: I'm here. . .
Subject: What Happened To Blinky the Shark (O.T.)
Subject: What software is delightful?
Subject: Webware: RedLightGreen
Subject: Ping Susan for the webware page
Subject: What...?

Ah but they will.

The OP in this thread is not a troll and clearly the ones who replied
responsibly don't think so. I think It's better to stay off threads you
don't like than trying to shut everyone up.

Treepad business
The Bat
Executive Software defragger
Window Washer

In no particular order:

Adobe Audition 1.5
Vegas Video 5
MS Office XP
RealDraw Pro
Photoshop 6
Dreamweaver MX
Norton Utilities UnErase Wizard
Windows XP

What payware do you regard worth every penny?

Not even close ..... GoBack. This software has saved me so many times. I
recommend that everyone get this - recover personal file, reestablish your
systems files as they were before some virus or other unknown thing messed
up your machine. So many computer problems I see posted on computer
newsgroups could have been fixed so easily had people had this wonderful
software. Saves you between backups. Lets you experiment with your computer.
I hate to sound like a shill for this software, but it is
extraordinary!!!!!!!!!! For XP users, it is an expanded version of system
restore. Don't leave home without it.

Add me to its fans!
But I'd not mention system restore, even an expanded version, because GoBack
gives you an exact copy of _all_ the system in a chosen moment in the past.
I'd say it's like Ghost, but with the image automatically done in background
for you.
It saved me too many many times :-)

I think it's a great topic. I try to go freeware when I can, but I love
to see what other people are thinking/using for payware.

An interesting thread, but what a shame that so few of you, if any,
have provided a link to the freeware you enjoy so that others could
benefit from you comments.

[You can always tell a Yorkshireman, but not very much]

Thanks Maria. No one ever agreed with me on anything ever before :O)
