Music. What are you listening to right now?

You do not need to understand the lyrics she is great to listen to, and the orchestration was fantastic.:thumb: She has a wonderful voice, shame I couldn't understand the lyrics but you got the sentiment.:D

You are absolutely correct in saying that one does not need the lyrics to relate to the song and singer. It speaks volumes with its melody and performance. However I am posting this version of the same song from 19 years ago as performed by her in Beijing. The audio and video quality may not be at par with the first one posted but her emotions and performance are nothing short of fantastic.

After you read the translation you will appreciate the song even more.

Dang, I'm a mod here and I don't know how to embed a Youtube link, tis a cryin' shame, lol

Right now I'm listening to Fleetwood Mac Live from around 1980 on vinyl. Lindsey Buckingham one very talented guitarist dude.

Probably two of his finest performances! Lindsey Buckingham cannot get better than this. Dedicated to Sir Flops

:)Cant' disagree with you, fantastic guitar player and musician:dance:. It is strange I was brought up with classical music Mother was a pianist/organ player/singer and music teacher, Dad was a violin player/organist so I revolted at the teenage years and for some time was a pop and rock person then later when I was about 30 years old began to enjoy and appreciate most genera's of music. My son and daughter both play musical instruments mainly in brass band but also folk and my son has played with symphony orchestra's playing 1st trumpet. I am very proud of both of them as I couldn't play a kazoo:(. At the moment I am into Vangelis and John and some of the electronic/orchestral music but admire anyone who can play instrument and entertain. So my children have continued the family musical tradition after jumping a generation. :thumb:

bootneck02,

You have a great family and you are a lucky guy with all the music around you. My son is into music too, he plays guitar with his mates.

Here is something you might enjoy :)

:bow:Thanks Quad I did enjoy Nils, I like the acoustic guitar over the rather harder and brash electric guitar. I will look on the net for more of his music. I am a bit of a hoarder I have a large CD collection (not as big as FBS) but quite big as I like to have my music on hard coppy and riped in high quality. After my last battle with a dreaded virus I have the collection is now on 3 hard drives all protected by password. :thumb:

At the moment I am listening to Serenade To Music by Vaugn Williams performed by Sir Adrian Boult conducting the London Philharmonic Orchestra:cool:

Last night I made my own Youtube vid of Neu's Hallogallo with a few old pix and mementoes. It was recorded from Vinyl via the USB output from my Pro-ject RIAA stage, Denton 103 MC Cartridge with Audacity software.

I'm in 2 of the pix. The pix of the three girls and one guy are my mate Bob and three girls we picked up hitchhiking from Tooting to Blackheath. The pix were taken in Blackheath village, check out the old motors. And nope, we didn't pull more's the pity, haven't seen those girls from that day to this. They knew Hawkwind apparently. Pah.

:oHaving a bit of trouble with my internet connection here in the wilds of Kent:mad:so only was able to get teh first half of the video dam good but got the gist. Enjoyed what I got, I guess the photorama is all part of your history :thumb:
