Music. What are you listening to right now?

Pink Floyd, BBC Sessions 1967 - 1971.

Strange titles they had then for works in progress.

For Messrs. Abarbie, Flopsie & Mucksie :p

[Poem by Arthur Macy (1842-1904)]

"Leave Your Sleep" is a GREAT album.

Ordered the soundtrack of Casino Royalewhich I used to have before. The track 2 on the album is nothing but hauntingly beautiful and sonics to die for. Youtube cannot do justice but here it is anyway.

Everyone knows ABBA is a pop group but here in this song they perform as if they were a rock band - great performance indeed! The concert was staged in 1979 at Wembley

I went to one of those concerts, it was very good indeed.

Me mate Arthur was doing security at Wembley, he bunked four of us in and took us to an unused VIP balcony box. There was a private bar nearby this box as well.

Three of us were seasoned breakers in to concerts but we took this guy straight off working the pipeline - Gary Wilmott was his name - up to Wembley with us. Gary was about 6' 3" had very long hair and wore these enormous boots. He was dressed in jeans, boots, T-Shirt and mud.

He said it best: '2 hours ago I was down a muddy trench and now suddenly I'm in a VIP box at Wembley watching Abba'

Way to go gary, he did enjoy himself that evening.

Memories of over-zealous security slapping down 12 year olds for standing up from their seats, clapping, singing and generally getting excitable.

Stupid, stupid, stupid security, these are kids, they no gonna wreck the place. Well, not much. But easy target, bored security.

Outstanding moment, which surprised me for liking it 'I Have A Dream' with full kiddie choir.

I went out in search for the kiddie choir, here it is in full glory at Wembley. It should bring back fond memories. Oh it was such a wonderful performance. Thank you Flops for pointing it to me, I would never have known what it was like.

You have an elephant memory ;)

"A CARDIFF choir stunned passengers at a London train station by taking part in a “flash mob”.

City Voices, a 150-strong vocal group, broke into a four-song Motown medley at St Pancras train station over the weekend, to the amazement of hundreds of passengers who were looking on." Source: www.walesonline.co.uk

Not that I'm biased or anything.... but they don't sound half bad. :thumb:

Glad you found that clip Quad :)

Nice find TC, certainly something different.

Had that been a bunch of teenagers singing a Motown Medley at the railway station the old bill would have probably kettled them for causing a disturbance then whacked the crap outta them with their truncheons :D

Reverse ageism.

TC that was great :thumb: I wish I could come across something like this when next time I travel.

Neat find TC :thumb:

Urmas you old wag you

The Live Music Hour --- Misty in Roots from Glastonbury in 1992

As at this moment I am listening to Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison, Earlier I had some Jimmy Buffett

I am drenched in exquisite melody listening to this wonderful song.

Watch in full HD 720p, both the audio and video are top notch and one of the best I have seen on youtube! I would say nothing short of audiophile or videophile grade!:thumb:

I was introduced to this singer in 1984 on my first trip to Japan and have been listening to her work all along. Considered to be one of the finest singer/songwriter in Japan today and hugely popular

You do not need to understand the lyrics she is great to listen to, and the orchestration was fantastic.:thumb: She has a wonderful voice, shame I couldn't understand the lyrics but you got the sentiment.:D
