Your are getting too technical for me I'm afraid. I've enabled windows fw
and disabled McAfee firewall... you want me to run those tests again? I'll
do it anyway

Windows XP Home SP1
Pentium 4 @ 3.00ghz, 160gb HD, 1.00gb DDR.
Rogers Hi-Speed Extreme Internet on Cable.
Can you enable Window's firewall, then disable Norton's firewall (in that
order so a worm can't get you - or go offline to do it).
Does anything change. Both TS and the netsh et al?
The other thing it does is cleans the hosts file (forgot to mention that).
I didn't need to reboot after running it, though I was offline and it was
working.
So you log on, run this program and TS starts working but your network
doesn't?
Type in Start - Run
%temp%\vbdata
and you'll find the reg files it uses.
Merge the 2 files.
Then in Start Run
%windir%\system32\drivers\etc
and open the file Hosts with notepad and paste the contents.
