Is there another thread like that?
Essential life saving program I would add would be Xmarks which saves all your bookmarks from all browsers from all machines, you don't need to log on with your chrome user for example and sync everything on pc you dont trust....
And it has the option to save your open tabs which is awesome when it crushes and chrome cant recover the pages, essential for user such as I am who are using more then 50 tabs open...
I wanted to ask if you can put a list of ad block such as Ublock?
And a list of good Proxy programs...

Update: Bit of housekeeping - updated some links, removed old/dead software and cleaned up the formatting in places.
