Yes, and then it can be automated to seek out my own posts,
download them and mark them as read. It's <such> a pain.
And my post to the Outlook groups about same issue - not
even a "sorry, can't help you"!!
</rant>

You want to mark your postings as "read" automatically? I am missing this
feature too.

;-)

Hello,

I have obsevered quite a cocky attitude from Herfried lately, one
springs to mind quite clearly...

N: Thanks Herfried :-)
H: I hope it helped. I searched for "URLUnencoded" in the
MSDN libarary Maybe you can do that yourself in future.

I mean, what was the point in that one?

I was frustrated because lots of questions written by others (not you) could
have been solved by taking a closer look at the documentation. It was a
general hint, I didn't address it to you only.
I thought it was unneccsarry,
;-)

Herfried did appologise, which I didn't actually acknowledge,
mainly because I felt that my integrity was being questioned,

No, I didn't want to question your integrity...
so I thought it best to let it lie. Fair enough, but I have got some
pretty clear points to make about this.

* I program as much as I can each day and always
attempt to complete"tasks" myself
* If I find someone elses code that would come in useful, or
essential, I rewrite it from the ground up so that I can learn how
it works, I don't just copy and paste, I refuse to.
* I search Google for answers to my questions first
* I even consult the VB documentation, which is by no means
the best of documentation!
* I now use the newsgroup as a last resort

You are a professional and I know you did recherche before asking the
question.
recently, including you Hefried, my problem tends to be that if I
am bitten, I *almost* always bite back, I just can't help it. Now
I'm going to take my knackered eyeballs to bed, my eyesight is
getting quite poor! :-p

Hi Herfried,

Fair enough, if you didn't actually mean it to come across as it did,
then it's not your fault, it's electronic mail that's at fault, messages are
*always* being misinterpreted. I wasn't going to mention it again anway,
but I'll just assure you that I'm not taking any offence in your comment at
all, thanks for clearing it up.

I had better rush off again, more crap to program.... Where's my
previously archived version of code, to modify and compile... hmmm....
(Crestron "quotage"). ;-)

Nick.

Hi Nick,

I wish I'd had your uncle for maths. My class had <seven> teachers in the
two years for O level maths. I didn't do very well. (But I and a friend got
very good a chewing our pages up and making a moon-surface on the ceiling).

|| I do understand, though, that nearly 50% of teachers are
|| below average. It's a shocking statistic. Something should
|| be done about it.

50% of everything is below average!!
Twas a joke. ;-)

Regards,
Fergus
