Bioshock Thread

I won't bother getting it until such time as I upgrade.

I don't want to play it at 11fps.
 
Your system should be ok PG, its supposed to be a well optimized game. Your spec is not that bad. Try the demo when its out. :)
 
it may be well optimized, but will it look good? sometimes auto optmizers dont give you the best perfomance/ eye candy ratio.
you wouldnt happen to know what the movies from the offical website are in? as in DX10 or DX9?
 
I've just seen that I probably won't be able to run this :eek:

It looks like I need a SM3 graphics card, but I don't think my X800 is. Arg... I'll have to wait for the demo now.

I think your right Ian, I remember reading someone asking if the X800 will be enough, and i dont think it is....Lame. As you say though, try the demo and see. :)
 
Thinking about it, I've got a spare X1300 card from a computer I upgraded for someone... hmmmm there may be a way to scrape through after all ;)

Well thats how its written, i just copied it off the Rapture site. But my guess is that it means make sure your upto date. ATI only released the latest catalyst drivers last week so i cant see them releasing new ones already. :)

I'll keep an eye out and let ya know.
 
By the way, did i mention the Demo was 1.8GB? :eek:
 
just been reading that Fileplanet crashed for all the subscribers due to the demand! :eek:
