Are we all crazy?

No, it definitely is not, it is much leaner and faster in my experience.

I don't know of course, but at a guess I'd say it's been highly
optimized taking into account the complaints about Vista and there's
quite a lot of new code in there - I will await Mr Ballmer's comments...

and await for a long time I expect :)

It's still clearly SP3 for Vista. MS has admitted how bad Vista is -
and their solution is to charge us to fix the crappy code they sold
us.

I expect we might see some action from the Euro's on this again in
terms selling defective products and then charging for the repairs.
That's generally considered fraud. However, in the USA, software
companies specifically sell you a license in order to avoid the
portions of the UCC and state laws that govern "product"
merchantability. I suspect there's some similar dodge in Europe -
although the Europeans are less tolerant of nonsense and actually
enforce their laws, unlike the Fed's here. We have to wait for some
state AG's to act.

Lame and totally illogical excuse. Monopolistic behavior should be
corrected. Microsoft customers shouldn't have to pay their fines and
you should be ashamed of saying they should. The EU doesn't set MS
prices; MS does.

Alias

Hey dork, you are responding to an idiot. Did you even read the
post? He's just like you and Kevin.

I was replying to Saucy.

Try to keep up.

Alias

OK fine. You are still an idiot.

You're the idiot who couldn't keep up.

Maybe in your delusional world it's SP3. Why don't you go to the store and
hand the clerk $10 but say in your mind it's a $20.

HA HA HA HA HA HA

Damn Europeans... enforcing anti-trust laws. How dare they!!!
I work using Vista Ultimate since 2006, it was very expencive, since
2006
ONLY, the date Microsoft made possible to buy it (a very
short-life-operating-system and ... expencive, very expencive).

Now if I want to upgrade to W7 Ultimate I must pay 319 euro !!!!!
(nearly
US$ 480).

BUT ..... are we all crazy???????????????

I proved it in a shop: BUT ................. it's VISTA !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fellows !!!! IT'S VISTA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's only a service pack, maybe less than a service pack!!!!!

Yes it's faster but only switch on and off (computer switch on and
switch
off ONLY).

I was told that it's faster ONLY coz Microsoft made it less secure.

I work very well with VISTA Ultimate (it is possible to make it working
good: you need a good hardware, surely it needs a good hardware, it's a
nonsense to say VISTA doesn't work and it has many problems: I do not
have
problems of any kind).

I do not change, I do not move from Vista, I do not want to pay 319
euro
only to have a computer running faster in switch on and off, few
seconds.

I repeat: BUT ARE WE ALL CRAZY ????????????????????????

Every 2 o 3 years should I pay 300 or 400 or 500 or maybe more euro?

Maybe Mr Microsoft thinks that I live making robberies
......................... I think w7 is a robbery instead (319 EURO
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

And you get what you pay for.

Microsoft gave out deals on software and even free software to those who
were interested in Windows 7 development.

Most people are not objecting to that, they're just objecting to
paying for it twice.

Paying for what twice? Windows? What about people that started out with
Win95? or even 3.1? They've paid more times then twice! that's the way
it goes with software, minor updates are free, major updates cost money,
this is NOT NEW!

Is Windows 7 a minor update or a major update?
This is the question!
Impossible to have a major update after a little more than 2 years
I paied a lot of money for Windows Vista Ultimate
Microsoft promised it would have been a good O.S. and a long term O.S.
I was at the top and I want ever to be on the top so I bought the top of the
line : ULTIMATE
After ONLY 2 years or little more if I want to stay again on the top I must
pay again an excessive amount
I want to say only this: THIS IS NOT CORRECT
Now if I want to upgrade to W7 Ultimate I must pay 319 euro !!!!! (nearly
US$ 480): IT IS EXCESSIVE
I paied nearly same anmunt ONLY 2 years ago or little more
I repeat: THIS IS NOT CORRECT
At the end I want to say only this
I do not even consider the free software (ubuntu, linux and so on): for me
it is rubbish, this is my opinion
I want regular Microsoft O.S. but I want to pay a right price, I do not like
pirate software but now it seems a fraud
