Are we all crazy?

I work using Vista Ultimate since 2006, it was very expencive, since
2006 ONLY, the date Microsoft made possible to buy it (a very
short-life-operating-system and ... expencive, very expencive).

Now if I want to upgrade to W7 Ultimate I must pay 319 euro !!!!!
(nearly US$ 480).

BUT ..... are we all crazy???????????????

I proved it in a shop: BUT ................. it's VISTA !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fellows !!!! IT'S VISTA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's only a service pack, maybe less than a service pack!!!!!

Yes it's faster but only switch on and off (computer switch on and
switch off ONLY).

I was told that it's faster ONLY coz Microsoft made it less secure.

I work very well with VISTA Ultimate (it is possible to make it working
good: you need a good hardware, surely it needs a good hardware, it's a
nonsense to say VISTA doesn't work and it has many problems: I do not
have problems of any kind).

I do not change, I do not move from Vista, I do not want to pay 319 euro
only to have a computer running faster in switch on and off, few
seconds.

I repeat: BUT ARE WE ALL CRAZY ????????????????????????

Every 2 o 3 years should I pay 300 or 400 or 500 or maybe more euro?

Maybe Mr Microsoft thinks that I live making robberies
......................... I think w7 is a robbery instead (319 EURO
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Some of us regained sanity several years back and switched to Linux - all
that money saved on OS upgrades plus free applications.

You can't do any real work with Ubuntu. Ubuntu is just a TOY OS for geeks.

The Upgrade disk does clean/full install just as well as Full Install.
There's a trick - either double instll using 1st install as "demo mode"
using Upgrade disk, and resintalling over it as upgrade using that same
Upgrade disk
or a Registry modification.

Either way you pay about 200 euros, not 319....
 
By the way YOUR European people steal far more than Americans, henc eoyu pay
more - thanks to all your pirates.

If you crack down on piracy then you will see lower prices, right now you're
paying the price for relaxed attitude towards pirating American software.

And I pay more for some European furniture here why???

TELL EU TO STOP FRIVOLOUS LAWSUITS AGAINST MICROSOFT, AND THEN YOUR *******
G talking heads will see lower, American-style prices.
And also tell them to quit bashing South AMerican bananas & subsidizing
African instead to support European x-colonies.

Do you understand the subject or not? Do you know anything about that
lawsuit against Microsoft?
Drop the suit and we drop prices. Simple.

And bear in mind I am a European also, more than half of my life, even I see
the stupidity of this lawsuit.

First, I didn't even mention Ubuntu - it ain't the only game on the
block. Second, I've BEEN doing 'real work' with Linux for about 10 years
now. Unless you assume that national defense is not 'real work'.

That's a different animal. When speaking here about Ubuntu for the most
part it is in regards to home users using Ubuntu on the desktop. What you
do is specialized and not what I'm talking about. I'm also not speaking
about servers either. Hope that clears it up a bit.
 
I have a suggestion for Microsoft:
maybe it could be better to change the name
No more Windows 7

First, Ubuntu is NOT the only game in town. Second, I developed software
which was used by technicians to do data analysis - on a graphical
desktop - I'm not speaking about servers either - hope that clears it up
a bit.
