But the Spainish did send them.
The former administration -- which got voted out -- sent them.
Then Osama sent one little crew to Spain
and the Spainsh all went running back to mama.
No, unlike the States, Spain proceeded to catch and jail every single
one. So far, the Great USA has caught ONE person involved in 9/11.
While the reason for the war was not legitimate, the USA (and Spain)
went in anyway. Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld duped many people into
thinking Saddam could missile Europe with WMDs. OK. It was a lie. But
good intentioned Americans went in and did their duty and it wasn't in
vain. Iraq does have a chance at democracy.
Democracy has nothing to do with it. Columbus said he was spreading
Christianity. Instead, like Bush, he headed up a murdering army that
killed thousands. The difference is that Columbus went with his men,
unlike Bush who directs his war from the safety of the White House.
But up and leaving, like Spain did, smacks of a weak will and weak knees
and handed the terrorists a victory which they should not have received.
Now they have evidence they can influence with their terrorist bombings.
Pulease, the war in Iraq was the best thing that happened to Osama's
recruiting efforts. Leaving would remove Osama's ability to say "the USA
is occupying a Muslim, Arab nation. Admitting one made a mistake is more
commendable than "staying the course" of the mistake.
Better not to go in at all than go in then turn tail and run. No one
needs an 'ally' like that.

It isn't a matter of who's "chicken" or "mas macho". We had no business
invading and occupying a country and staying there will only accomplish
one thing: your and my brother or son or sister or daughter may well
come home sooner than their tour is over -- in a box.
