guys guys, i have a

AMD athlon 64 3500+
geforce 7600GT
2gb ram

after installing vista i tryed installing my geforce's drivers, i use 91.X
if i remember right, however the drivers arnt recognized by the os, after
rebooting its like i didnt install the drivers at all, when i go to
properties>display settings>advance> i dont see the aditional nvidea tab with
all the options, i tryed unistalling the drivers, and installing the latest
drivers from nvideas site that didnt help either, also tryed the windows
vista compatible nvidea drivers and didnt work 2.
I also tryed runing counter strike 1.6, but it starts up and crashes
immidiately after 3 seconds.
so i was wondering if any1 had the same problems (with the drivers, and
runing games like cs) and can help me out.

thnx

Will any of the games that are released for Windows XP editions be able to be
played on the new Windows Vista editions (like The Sims 2)?

Yes, as others on this board have said but I would like to add that a game
that I was having issues with in Windows XP (XIII - it would load level 3)
plays without issues in Vista Ultimate.

For the love of god i can't get battlefield 2142 to play! it loads up fine
but when i try to play the game i.e join a server, the game just crashes to
windows. I just don't understand it.

well my names Luis. and i was wondering if farcry can work on vista. iv'e
tried it many times but it won't work. i need solutions. thank you!

Hi. I am a major trekkie and was wondering if these games would work on
windows vista home premium edition:
Starfleet Command 3
Star Trek Legacy
Star wars galactic battlegrounds
Midtown madness 2
The sims makin' magic.

Thanks.

find the icon right click and on the compatiblity tab run it in xp sp2
compatiblityand visual theme disabled

Thanks again.

Just a couple more questions. Does Pirates of the Carribean (game) work on
vista? And does Vista run games withou the use of disks? If not, how do I get
games to run without the use of disks?

Thanks.

Have you seen today's Windows Update deling with compatibility issues
on a long line of programs including games?

I found the updates when I ran Windows Update manually and when I got
the list, double clicking on one to see the details.

I don't do games so can't help you about your other question. I know
that MS Streets & Trips gives the option of keeping the maps on the CD
or transferring them to the hard drive but I don't know what games do
-- I would think it would affect speed to much to run from a CD or DVD.

Hey all,
Dont even think that you are going to run COD United Offensive on VISTA
........NO way no how.....IT loads fine but when you go to multi player it
crashes.Single player works,,,,but who wnats to play yourself!

Just a thought (I HATE VISTA)

I offer some suggestions to your other post. Maybe you should go for CoD2 ?

Battlefront II has worked for me just fine but would love to get the regular
battlefront working......One that really bugs me is actually one of my
favorites of all time is Red Alert 2....I can load it and get it all ready to
go but tells me that there is a fatal error when it goes to load and then
NOTHING....What the hell was going through these guys minds when they
released something with no backwards compatibility?!!!!!!

Try Running in winxp sp2 compatibility mode.... just a thought, Till there's
a patch ready. Works in vista x86 and x64 for me.

That worked for me when I ran RA2 and Tiberian Sun.
What sux is that there isn't a network protocol that works outside of
joining Westwood Online.
