Will any of the games that are released for Windows XP editions be able to be
played on the new Windows Vista editions (like The Sims 2)?

Which game might that be?Paul Smith said:Yes, the bulk of games will work on Vista. I've tried a couple of dozen
and have only found one that doesn't at the moment.

That's hopefully not the case with the final version of Windows Vista.Andre said:Games which to use OpenGL libraries WILL NOT play on Vista.
The Vista recognize DirectX games ONLY.
Doom 3, Quake 4, Pray and so on are NOT Vista compatible.
Which game might that be?

Zoo Tycoon 2*
Half-Life 2*
Civilization 4*
Battlefield 2
Rise of Legends
Quake III Arena***
Unreal Tournament 2003***
Oblivion
Morrowind
Black and White 2
Warcraft 3**
World of Warcraft
Halo
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfigher
Sim City 4*
Guild Wars
Call of Duty 2
FEAR
Command & Conquer Generals
Command & Conquer Renegade
StarCraft
Final Fantasy XI
EverQuest 2
Diablo II
Star Wars Galaxies
FIFA 2006*
Call of Duty
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
DOOM 3
*Problems, on my setup I had to run them into a window first to prevent them
from crashing, I'm assuming a video driver bug not letting them pick up
resolution details. Others have mentioned lowering the desktop resolution
to the same as their default start-up resolution resolves it too.
**Works fine with retail version, but latest patch breaks sound.
***Mouse acceleration seems to be turned on.
