Marilyn, I think we've gone as far as we can troubleshooting this in a
newsgroup. You need to have someone who knows what they are doing look
at the machine hands-on. It would be wise to take the computer to a
professional repair shop, not your local version of BigStoreUSA. That
way they can test the video card by seeing how things appear when the
machine is connected to a different monitor. A professional can also
look at your display settings and perhaps pinpoint the issue very
quickly where people reading your posts who cannot see your computer
cannot.

Thanks a lot. I have a 2 week old Dell, and I wilL call them for further
instructions. I just thought somebody out there might have A SIMPLE CURE.

They might if they could SEE your computer. I don't know why you are so
resistant to having someone on-site help you. There is no shame in
admitting you don't know computer stuff. We all have our areas of
expertise.
