Ask in the Word ng:

news://news.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.word.vba.general

The solution can be translated to VB.NET...

How can I change the font of text I am inserting into Word. I only want
the inserted text to use the new font and all other existing text to
keep it's original font.

Thanks,
Richard

As Herfried suggested, you should ask in the Word VBA group because it is a
question about the Word object model.

Hi Armin,

I'm getting more curious.

He said this several hours ago.

Now you're saying:

I really don't understand who gains from this post.

Are you supposing that this person is stupid and needs to be told twice?
Do you get some kick out of seeing your name in posts?
Are you trying to get your hit count up in Google Groups?

I have written a post to Cor but it applies to you.
You will disagree and I am interested in what your views will be.

Richard. BTW, I really don't understand who gains from _your_ post.

Are you supposing that this person is stupid and needs to be told
twice?

Herfried's hint was about 2 hours earlier than Richard's second post, so
Richard probably overlooked Herfried's reply, that's why I referred to
Herfried's hint to turn to the other group.

*LOL* I'd say _you_ are the one creating the most OT threads lately, so,
please, don't try to tell me what to do, ok? And, to answer the questions:
no.

Mostly I don't participate in all these OT threads. Unfortunately they are
increasing my download times by an undesirable amount lately. :-(

I think Richard didn't really understand _why_ I told him to ask in the
Word ng. In the Word ng, he will more likely get an answer. The
question is mostly related to Word VBA, not VB.NET.
Are you supposing that this person is stupid and needs to
be told twice?

Ha... In the German ngs people who do not post with a realname don't
get an answer. I and some others tell them that they should post with a
realname. Some of them change their name into a realname quickly,
others still post with the "nickname". Nevertheless, there were some
folks who needed some time to understand why it's better to post with a
realname.

What's the point of the paragraph above? Telling somebody that he
should post to an other ng should not be interpreted as a command, it
should be considered a hint.
Do you get some kick out of seeing your name in posts?
LOL

Are you trying to get your hit count up in Google Groups?

Is there any hit count?

I already read your posting, but I didn't have enough time to reply yet.

I didn't even know that it's possible to count the postings (never had
the idea to do that).

Only Fergus thinks there is a competition. Don't take him this impression
because he won't be cheering when he wins. ;-))

Poor Fergus... you are not even on the list.

Hi Armin,

I actual discovered these while investigating a query and curiousity led
me to wonder how many postings Herfried had made. I have only just compiled
this table in response to Herfried's question. "Is there any hit count?"

Yes, the table is sorted, but it's not a league table unless you would
like it to be.

I'm not on the table as I've only been newsgrouping for three weeks! I
haven't done a last-three-weeks table. I leave that as an exercise for
league-tablers.

Even if I were on a table, I have a higher percentage of amusement
postings which would skew the results as much as it skews download times. ;-)

Regards,
Fergus
