Wireless keyboard with built in mouse???

Id like to buy a wireless keyboard with built in mouse
or trackball.... or any kind of built in pointing
device

In other words....I want everything integrated into one
keyboard and wireless... NOT a sep wireless keyboard
and sep wireless mouse

Having a hard time finding something like this

Any advice on where to get one?

I've seen several wired keyboards with touchpads, but I'm also in the
market for the exact same thing as you.

Well is there any device that works well built in to
the keyboard?

Maybe a keyboard with built in track stick all IBM
laptop?

Well even wired would work..... just as long as
everything is in ONE unit the keyboard

I'm thinking a trackball in the upper right hand corner
might work. That way you could hold the edge of the
keyboard with right hand and use right hand thumb to
roll the trackball around

What you think?
 
You'll need to find out what you like to use. The most likely candidates
are the touchpad or the track stick; if you're lucky, you might find a
keyboard with both. My laptop has both, and I can't stand either one. If I
can't set up my mouse, I use the trackpad, but I'm not happy about it. I've
found my wireless optical mouse works fine on most surfaces, including my
couch and easy-chair arms.

Of course, none of that helps you. :) Good luck in your search, though.

If you find one let me know, I've been looking for the same thing. And I
can't use those touchpad thangies.

My intended use will be inside of an RV or van

So don't want the clutter of cables and such that
separates require

Thats a personal taste thing. Certainly some people always
use a normal mouse on a laptop. I dont personally.

The touchpad on my laptop has proper scroll bars so is better
than the average touchpad, but does take some getting used to.

I prefer the touchpad myself.

Mine works fine on my stomach too |-)

The only thing it doesnt like is those very perfect white
Correlle plates, it doesnt appear to be able to see
enough detail to allow it to detect mouse movement.

A decent optical mouse should work fine if you cant find
or like a keyboard with an integrated touchpad etc you like.

Or you could just change to a decent laptop which has that built in.

Yeah, thats got some advantages. Not that great for a
media PC tho, those use hard drive space like there is
no tomorrow and laptop hard drives arent all that big. I
can use 50G in a single evening, 3-4G/channel/hour.

Yeah, should work fine if you can find one and you
can get used to the touchpad, some people never can.

Yes, it would be best to get one that has a full touchpad with
scroll bars and one of those little stick like things as well, but
I havent noticed any that have that, not that I've looked for them.

There are some gaming mice that can be waved around
in the air, dont need to be run around on something.

Not all of those links went to keyboards with touchpads. Some went to
minikeyboards with a trackball in one corner.

That's a matter of personal preference. For me, the ideal choice is a
mouse. However, the OP said he was looking for a keyboard with a
built-in pointing device. That means a mouse isn't an option.
Further, since we're giving opinions here, I prefer the touchpad to
trackball and eraserhead pointer control systems. They're more
precise than the eraserhead system, and easier to keep clean than a
trackball. The only problems I have with them is the palm tap issue
when it's in center front of the keyboard (a common place, but not
always where it's placed). My laptops like that, but you can work
around it if you read the instructions on how to configure the pad. My
ancient Logitech Newtouch board (not wireless) has the touchpad off to
the lower right, under the numeric keypad, so it's out of the way but
fairly convenient. It's not so good for lefties though.

Maybe you didn't have the acceleration feature (probably common
now). A fast refresh rate makes the pointer keep up with your
fingertip. A slow refresh rate is like moving a boat around. In my
experience, the fast refresh made a world of difference.
