Yeah, but the poor guy is using Microsoft's web interface. I don't think *I*
could find my own threads using that monstrosity!

I agree Gary,
All websites that link to newsgroups are crazy.
:)
I hate them all.
I think I will start posting the link and telling people to
follow for ease of "following"
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.general
and maybe that will make them learn a bit more about the backbones
behind newsgroups and OE or MS Mails better options for using such.
:)
Now..
I wonder if the link works on the web interface?
:)

Bummer,
It does not make a link on the MS website.
but at least a copy and paste and drop into
the run box got me here on another computer.
Now I wonder what my default profile is on this box.
:)

My sense is that you're old and tough as nails. My sense is that Johnny is
just the opposite. But after reading the two threads, it's more like he's
just a dunce.

Hey, you're using Vista! In Ultimate, at least, "Microsoft Communities", aka
news://msnews.microsoft.com, is already set up in Windows Mail like a proper
set of NGs should be! You mean to tell me that you actually prefer the
online interface to a nice, old, plain-text newsreader?

I use the web interface with either XP Pro, or Vista HP computer.
Tonite, I using XP Pro computer.
The web interface is so easy.
And I am not interested in my Inbox having any idiot replies from here!
I post answers here, not questions!
But, I know my way around the Net, and computers.

Um, if you use a news reader, your inbox has nothing to do with it. In
fact there are news readers that don't even have an inbox.
I post answers here, not questions!

If you did, you wouldn't make the stupid comment you made about your inbox.

Well; in that case, I'm telling the truth. I don't use newsreaders!
Something you should learn to do, tell the truth!

You're the big man TROLL here.
Why don't you help the OP with an answer!!
NO, you just lurk!

Who do you help here, idiot?
You are just a waste of space.
Do us all a favor, STOP breathing!

And if you are so smart, even with the web interface, unless you untick
"Notify me of replies", you get inundated in your INBOX.

Crawl back under your rock!

Good reason to not use the web interface among many others. You said you
don't use a news reader because you don't want your Inbox filled with
replies. You can admit you were wrong or you can hurl unfounded insults
and try to cover it up. Your choice, mate.

Yet you can't point out one single lie I've told.

My, my, I touched a nerve. Don't have a stroke, mate.

You didn't help the OP either. You just posted how you love the web
interface. Oops.

I can. Many, many, many of them. I pointed one out just a little earlier
this evening. Liar.

Unless you're running a business, using that monster Outlook for email is
ludicrous. My turn to LOL! Besides, Outlook also has a newsreader. It's
called msimn /newsonly, or at least it has been through v. 2003. Just in
case, msimn is OE.

No, I get what it is you like about OL and online Usenet interfaces. It's
all the color and glitz and "powerful tools" that you probably don't even
need. Not something plain and straight-forward like OE and WM.

Really? Which "lie" was that?

Alias, tapping his foot and waiting.

I originally bought it because pre-release reviews spoke of its
excellent SPAM-catching ability. I've not been disappointed.

Nope. Third-party programs are required.
