Windows Explorer viewing the root directory

Hi, Thanks and I tried it both ways, still no go. But according to David I
have more than 100 folders so therefore it shouldn't work anyway. Or should
windows just show 100 folders and some kind of icon to view the rest?

Give it a try - if for no other reason, organizational purposes.

What I did in My Documents was to make 26 folders: A, B, C, etc.
Then dropped my existing folders into them. I didn't have to give up folder
names that I was accustomed to yet the window for My Documents comes up
quickly since there's only 26 main folders.

I work at several different computers and use explorer frequently. Obviously
this is nothing I can't live with but the computer I work with most doesn't
have the same appearance when I open Windows Explorer. So I have to click two
or 3 times to open on the rhs to get it open on the lhs so I can transfer
some pix or pdf files around. I thought it would be a quick fix but guess
not huh? So the mass has gotten too 'high' now so lets just drop it here. I
sincerely appreciate all your time and realize this is in the trivial
category. WE has its limits I guess...period
