Can you please run HijackThis in Safe Mode and email me a copy of the
log resulting.

Would please access your AVG Control Center. Do you have 7 components
listed and do all have green ticked icons. If you have less than 7
please provide a list of those you have. If any do not have a green
tick against them please tell me which.

My reason for asking about AVG is that I have two more entries
relating to AVG than you. Have you deliberately turned off any AVG
services?

In the AVG Control Center click on Information and select About AVG.
What version do you have?

Hope this helps.

Gerry,
Will do HijackThis in Safe Mode.
Regarding AVG; only one Email Scanner is not green tick because it cause OE abnormal function. OE MVP advice it before. AVG version
7.5.432 just updated with new virus definitions. It clean-up 2 Trojan Horse days before. I did virus scan everyday now after using
PC.

I'm planning to reinstall IE6 without OE6 --- will it fix my problem?

I now have the Safe Mode HijackThis log. Thank you.

I will test out AVG turning off email scanning and see if it
identifies with the two files not mentioned in your log. I am aware of
the OE MVP advice regarding scanning mail. Scanning incoming mail has
never caused me problems but there's another story. It is not from my
present understanding of your problems implicated so turning it on or
off would have no effect.

Your IE6 is being reported as not updated to the latest version. Is
this the result of a decision by you not to update? If yes why didn't
you update Internet Explorer earlier? I am not suggesting updating to
Internet Explorer 7 but there are many updates for IE6 without going
to IE7.

How did you acquire IE6 and OE6? Did they come with Windows XP or from
an Internet Service Provider as a branded version? Have you and are
you still using AOL? Software from AOL was reputed to be difficult to
remove but AOL is no longer as popular as it used to be! I see no
reason to exclude Outlook Express if you are contemplating
reinstalling Internet Explorer. Are you using any other mail messaging
service? If yes please name them.

The System log for the last normal boot contains 13 different Error or
Warning Report reports, although a number appear a number of times so
the actual number of reports is many more. The first error, which
occurs is a problem with the hard disk controller on your second hard
drive. I am going need more information regarding your computer. What
is the make and model of your computer? Is it a desktop or a laptop?
Is your computer standalone or networked? What is the make and model
of your second hard drive?

This freeware programme is excellent for getting information about
your computer:
Everest Home Edition (freeware)

Tip: To copy select Report, Quick Report, Plain Text, highlight
required text, right click and select copy. However, whilst this is
fine for posting small amounts of information into newsgroup messages
longer reports will irritate other newsgroup subscribers. Given your
present problems you may fing copy and pasting not working with this
programme also.

Thank You Gerry! I finally fixed it! With: http://www.scanwith.com/download/BHOCaptor.htm
I must come back to tell the remedy I just took:
(you can read more but I wouldn't waste time) I click 'blue Download' twice
and chose ONLY to install at C: xxx\Desktop. Open the bhoc.zip file then
click BHOCaptor.exe to open the program. Look for the most obvious
(or culprit) new program install in C: or in other drives and select it then press
Deactivate button. Immediately check if it work in your Windows Explorer
now and if not then find another most probable culprit. Do NOT Deactivate
the rest program because ... read Notice given.

Ciao!
