I heard there would be a cyber-Al Gore who would constantly remind you that he was the one who invented the Internet while troubleshooting your computer.

They have already started working on "Vienna."

It will have clowns, rainbows, unicorns and a personal assistant to tell you
what not to click on.

Everytime I take Pepto Bismo, it gets worse. Ewwww ... I stopped taking
Pepto Bismo years ago.

And will the theme song of "Love Story" be playing in the background?

Oh My...

Reminds me of a Bill Engvall Joke regarding Preparation-H:

Dear proctor and Gamble;

I have used a whole tube of your product and my 'roids are the same. My
mouth is so small, though...

Just a matter of knowing which end is which - - - - are you swallowing any
of this?

No! That's It...

We'll Be Moving To Microsoft "Viewer" Technology!

....eNuff of This 1990s-ish "DOWNLOADING" Stuffs!

;-)

Nah... this's it. No more Windows. Ever. In fact, we'll all start listening
to Devo songs and revert to 98, 95, 3.1, 2.1, 1.01, DOS 3.2 (! - figure out
THAT anomaly...) and, finally, CPM. At which point the earth will run out of
gas and all our children will learn to ride horses and forage for
sustenance.

Glad I'll be dead by that point... and, oh yeah, it's coming...

What is
next? Is Vista good enough? Or is there more?

I don't worry about any future computer I can install an OS on. The future
computer I worry about is the one that can install an OS on me.

1) Upgrade revenue
2) Even before it ship its behind the competition
3) Vista is still a huge hack (At least beta 2 is laughable)

For those 3 reasons expect a new version sooner then later.
But it seem MS is collapsing under its own weight, 5 year for a mediocre OS
is a bad sign.
(Dx10 aside) 5 years is also also 23 billion $ worht in R&D at MS rate.

23,000,000,000 $ how much of that did Vista eat up ?

Why? Whenever you suffer a depression, you just press the end
of your nose for five seconds - reboot et vòila ;-) Maybe the psy-
choanalysts in that time will even be able to apply registry hacks
to our brains in order to delete the isitently remaining entries of
long ago deleted marriages and such... Well, I'm dreaming :-))

Maybe Bill Gates will give us back some. After all it was his customers that
made him.

Lol - I wouldn't have expected people going that far in their
slimming efforts ;-))
