Why does Microsoft Messenger keep wanting to load?

Thanks! I was able to find them and move them to a more convenient
place. (Being a crotchety old guy, I wanted them available on the
desktop.)

Hopefully you just put a shortcut to the folder on your desktop
and not the folder itself. Not a good idea to store large files
on the desktop.

I am glad you found your files. If you also use programs other than 'Windows
Media Player' to handle music, the locations and organization of the files
could be changed (happened to me at least twice - I made some wrong
decisions on how I set up other managers for media.)

I use 'Napster' to download files ($9.95 per month - you can download, save
and play as long as you continue to pay.) At present I have 6500 tunes, 30
GBytes; believe me, I NEED the management capabilities of 'Windows Media
Player', especially its automatic playlists.

Why would you want the files available on the desktop? What exactly do you
mean? Wouldn't you to start Windows Media Player to play the files?
