Why do the kiddies want ver 5456 so bad?

Chad,

You really have an axe to grind, don't you?

With all due respect, when you keep writing these long and elaborate posts
denigrating Vista and Microsoft in general at every opportunity, you come
across as a rather sad and disillusioned individual.

Isn't there something more productive you should be doing with your time?

Homer:
I doubt that growing up is an option, but more of a patterned
reaction. I noticed these fits when Windows x64 was beta and every time
something new was mentioned. The best recourse is to ignore or delete
whenever possible.

Obviously Homer you don't read many of my posts. If I were here just to
"denigrate MSFT" why would I fix the features in their OS or help people get
Vista up and running on their box using MSFT blogs, and links?

You're not that simplistic and tunnel visioned every minute of every day or
you?

Not worrying about Homer's opinion/assessments/projections would be one
productive use of time. That was a past Homer and a play on the joke posed
on geneology of Vista--obviously over your head. Read the thread. If you or
MSFT can't take the criticism, haul your ass out of the kitchen because
unlike millions of "MSFT critics" my observations are based on substantive
features in Vista or XP. If at any time you can show me that for example,
SFC is fixed in Vista (it's not and the Vista team's current advise is
"don't use it" or System Restore makes points as it should, or any
documentation that's substantive on any number of facets of Vista including
System Restore, Win RE, or SFC, you have the net and you have a keyboard. Go
for it.

I understand there is a wide population of MSFT suckups who want one thing
or another from them who defend them in broad brush strokes whenever anyone
launches constructive and *specific* look it up Homer, specific criticism.
What's sad is when you react adversely to constructive criticism but can't
raise one scintilla of info about the topics among many I singled out that
need work because they're broken.

To recap--what I'd like to see from Homer--bring it on and bring it in:

Info on SFC, Win RE or SR--substantive documentation anywhere on MSFT's site

Homer's comments on SFC in Vistaand why it's not important that it works

Homer's comments on Win RE since here and in Beta groups it is obvious that
no one has much of an understanding of them thus far.

I can't wait for your specific and constructive comments Homer. Meanwhile
before sterotyping that I "denigrate MSFT at every opportunity" --I've
worked with plenty of them to make Vista better for Homer and his homies
although you won't realize it--read my posts. They are not
monochromatically "sad, disillusioned denigrations of MSFT"--but I
understand you happen on one joke and take it and run with it.

Homer's specific response to criticism of specific features above I predict
won't show up in this space long after Blackcomb Vienna RTMs.

LOL

No. I just don't read every single post made here. It's my totally random
selection of messages that gives me that tunnel vision.

You're also a rather condescending individual who consistently takes
pleasure in trying to make fun of others. I'm trying to decide whether
you're successful. I'll give you credit where credit is due: I can't help
but smile at some of your responses, this one not being any exception. Were
you a mere troll, I'd say you've got class. Congratulations--it truly is a
lost art .

In any case, I'm here for the technical discussions of Vista. On the other
hand, I'll freely admit that I

a) don't know the answer to some of your otherwise perfectly valid questions
b) don't have the inclination, time or interest to find the answers or
pursue this specific matter. There's people in this newsgroup more
qualified than I am to provide you with the answers you're seeking.

You're right. I've been reading some of the threads he's been involved in
out of need for amusement, but sometimes he's just annoying. I should know
better.

Hi Chad. I just thought you should know that I value your "devil's
advocate"
approach to Vista and I look forward to your posts when I'm in this group
(which is not often unfortunately). I find it refreshing to see other
people
who see Vista with a skeptical eye like myself.

rockwell
