Why can't I post Suggestions?

Read the title. "Suggestion" no longer appears under the "New" menu.

You are having difficulties because you are using the dreadful web
interface. Most people who regularly use newsgroups use a newsreader, not
the web interface (which is why I can't answer any questions about it). It
is very easy to set up a newsreader. See below.

Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you learn
to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows, but you
can use Outlook Express (XP) or Windows Mail (Vista) since you already have
it. Here are some links to information about newsgroups:

I use WLM for a newsreader. Click on New, select News message and then
select Suggestion. No problem here.

What utter rubbish. Just because you haven't figured
out how to use the Web Interface doesn't mean that
others don't know how to.
'Suggestions' is still available in the Web Interface.
Go play with your newsreader and leave those that prefer
the web interface alone.
Bye the way, MVP's aren't allowed to advertise !

Rubbish. The web interface is not as good as reading these posts with a
newsreader.
Many posters have difficulty in even starting a new post, and end up
hijacking a thread. Many others do not see replies to their questions.

Yeah, I know, my Outlook 2007 isn't working for mail and I'm currently
resolving the issue with a M$$$$$$$$$$$$$ tech $$$upport Repre$entative.
Sorry about the $, but they charge so much for it! Anyway, I'm currently
using the "slow as Hell" web-based newsreader, and it's only a temporary
solution.

And what about this 'Sam' idiot that is replying to posts that are months
old, thinking that they are going to see his stupid remarks, after the
original posts have disappeared from the newsservers ages ago.

Outlook 2007 does not have a newsreader. So much for your non-temporary
method of accessing the newsgroups.

Have you noticed a lot more spam in you hotmail mailbox recently?

STFU! Malke is right.

The CDO interface blows donkeys, and so do those that use the CDO
interface blow donkeys too.

Now if you really are a lone wolf, wouldn't you be better suited playing
in a newsgroup that you are the only subscriber?

What makes you think that Malke is right. Are you another one
that can't use the web interface ?
Some people just don't want to use the news readers.

Obviously something you are well acquainted with !

I would if there was one ! (The name is LoneWolf, one word)

Hi Sam,

This depends on the version of the Web interface that you use. If you access
it by the first method, then 'Suggestion' is not available. It is, however,
available if you use the second method. All methods, whether they be
web-based or newsreader-based, have their advantages and disadvantages. It
really depends upon what YOU find most comfortable using.

Well if this putz keeps replying to posts that are months old, I'm gonna
start reaming him a new a**hole. I wonder how comfortable he'll be with
that?

Why do you have a problem with me replying to "old" posts? The replies, in
the web-based newsreader, at least, just appear next to the original post,
which is still there.

Hi Kurt,

I have looked through this newsgroup for threads containing posts by you. I
have NOT found a single post that people have found helpful. When I post a
reply to a post, I try to do my research as carefully as possible and I make
sure that my reply answers the poster's query as much as possible. I also
keep my replies relevant to the topic of the thread. If I feel that extra
information explains my post more clearly, then I include that as well. If I
feel that extra information is required from the poster, then I ask them for
it. In case you haven't noticed, the first post in THIS thread was YESTERDAY.
I am well aware that similar questions have been asked in the past, and will
probably continue to be asked. Sometimes it is easier to ask a question again
rather than wade through newsgroups looking for a similar one. It can be like
looking for a needle in a haystack.

Kurt, if you are a troll, why do you have "Peace!" at the end of each post?
Wouldn't it be more appropriate to put something better describing your
feelings toward the poster you are replying to?

STFU, trollface!

BTW, there's another "Sam" that appears to have been there before me.
Just FYI

You do know that only 'tards, their stalkers, and people making fun of
the first two use "Just FYI" around here, don't you, noob?
