Why can't I buy Vista?

So I guess the rumours aren't true. Bill didn't have you executed. In any
event just like I predicted 18 months ago Vista would not ship this year.
My new prediction is that it will be delayed again from the new and imporved
Jan. 30th date.

As previously stated, if Microsoft is going to continuously change its
dates, it should make a better effort to get them right.

Fact is Vista as its called now has been promised for the last 4-5 years.

For the record a statement to the effect of "Vista will ship next year'
means it will be available to all the target customers unless qualified
otherwise. This means statements like:

http://groups.google.ca/group/micro...neral/msg/aa3b424321dceadd?dmode=source&hl=en

Show that I am right and Microsoft hires losers.

Vista sucks and is a rip off. Its the first nail in M$ coffin. I have no
intention of buying.

Source works for Microsoft.

Then please state the source.
Your opinion based on how you feel it may come out based on other vague
information is about as far from a factual source as you can get.

Will you be a liar if you are proved wrong yet again?

Then why is Microsoft stopping pre-orders? Apart from it would violate the
UCC by allowing sales for an item that it knows will not be ready?

The same source that told me Vista will not ship this year. I have no nned
to devulge my source.

Bob--

You need better sources than "your source in MSFT" because he/she's wrong
about the "delay again." The delay originally was for good reason and has
been well covered in here and on the web. The delay originally was in large
part because of the need to fix bugs. It also had to do with logistics of
getting packages and DVDs readtm and in fact, getting computer parts into
the OEM comanies from the oursourced cheap labor locales where they are
made. There were also a number of arrangements specific to their sales and
shipping and manufacture OEMs had to make.

The bugs that RTM has will remain until fixed by mods or in some cases
hotfixes, so that's not going to delay the countdown posted on so many web
sites although I find it about as significant as Don Trump's announcement of
the reprieve for Miss USA.

Bob,

What makes you think it won't be released on January 30th?

Bob is a troll. This thread is not about Vista availability, but about Bob's
need to make a pest out of himself, in the hopes that he will not die of
utter boredom.

Well Tom, to elbaborate, you made a statement that was wrong so I said
"Wrong Tom". It seemed kind of simple to me.

How can Microsoft be responsible for preorders taken by Amazon.com and
others?
Simply the can't.
If anyone would have problems because of preorders, it would be the
organization taking the preorders.

Incorrect assumptions often result in wrong conclusions.

So it is no more than hearsay.
And you are correct in that you do not need to divulge the source.
But without identifying the source, there is little credibility.

I believe the source is a figment of your imagination.
I also believe you are unable to prove that belief wrong.

You seem to have a uncontrollable need to troll this newsgroup.

If at first you do succeed, try not to look astonished.

WOW!

I can't believe all the people falling for this <TROLL>.
