Good luck with it Floppy :) We'll try and arrange it for a different time then, as if it was in London we'd have to have it in or near the Cutty Sark! ;)

Sorry to be a damp squib and all, but I won't be able to attend in November.

On Halloween I'm having a hernia op, been putting it off for 3 or 4 years, finally set a date.

So I shall be convalescing most of November :(

I wasn't going to mention it (the op) but seeing as how this thread came up.....

I just got back from my pre-op medical in fact, I had to fill a jar, they took an armful of blood and they taped all these sensors over me.

The made the informed deduction I was still alive and worth operating on :D

And yes, you could say I'm a tad nervous, yes you could......

Think of the 'up' side:
All the sympathy you could want, rest and relaxation, nurses feeding you grapes in a seductive manner... OK, perhaps I got a little carried away! :o

Good luck, you'll be fine :thumb:

OK, a quick apology to all that saw my ridiculous post ... :o

... but I phoned Floppy up anyway and we had a good laugh ... I just had to tell him how "sorry" I was about his opp ... :D

He'll be happy being pushed around for 6 months in his wheelchair ... but don't tell the people doing the pushing he don't need one. :p

Whatch out you don't get 'invaded' on the PCR outing ... I won't tell them where you live.

hey! you moved.

Sorry to hear that Flops, good luck & I've got all my fingers crossed for you!

Just make sure that Dr writes out that prescription for you, "Grapes, one bunch, 4x daily & as required" ;)

Bex, is there any update on a possible meeting in November?

Well, it doesn't look like it. London would be the best bet, but only yourself and ukJag have said yes! Ian is extremely busy with uni, so that would bring the grand total to three :(

I was really hoping that planning in advance would make more people interested, but seems not...

That's a shame, would have been fun!

Yep, Its a bit of a shame, but hey ho and all that!

Must admit it would be good to put faces to some of the people I have had so much fun with since I've joined and more recently with all the crunching sagas:D - I would be more than happy to travel 'up north' over the Christmas hols if it attracts more interest...:thumb:

So ... what about next year then ... it is only around the corner.

Start with which month would/may suit everybody ... "The PCReview Meet" this way ---->>

:D

Feb would be ideal for me, as all my final's exams are in January - I seem to eat / sleep / breathe uni work at the moment!

oh I would leave it a little longer that Feb ... people will still be paying for xmas and getting over the Jan sales ... :D

I was thinking around August ... time to book the 300 seater hall we may need.

Well, we have 200,000 members ...

I'm too young really to have a wander down/up to London, turned 17 yesterday, and my A-Level's are really hard work...harder than expected

I've signed up as well, hope to see you there!!:)

Would be pretty cool, just have to see whether i get accepted or whatever, as i am sure there will be more than 70,000 people willing to volunteer

Yep, lets hope we both make it!

In the mean time there is something you could volunteer for - have a look at Crunchers Corner and give it a go, it doesn't affect your PC, we have a lot of fun and are helping combat illness and disease:thumb:
