Which free AV prog is best?

Everybody (at least in these news groups) is aware that no virus
scanner is able to certify that.

Therefore I prefer Avast! (which also checks - not certifies;-) - my
mail).

Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.

You can change it. Mine says:

"For what it's worth, this outgoing mail has been scanned and claimed to be
Virus Free."

....added only to outgoing email with attachments.

Avast is the best free antivirus software available today.
