Top posting is only marginally worse than bottom posting if you don't
quote properly. Do what I've just done by removing superfluous text
and it'll make perfect sense.

Anyway, this is just of rehash of the countless pages found on
the web detailing why top posting is an infinitely bad idea.

Sounds odd. Are you really sure that these two situations are
comparable?

When I was in the US military back in the mid 70's all newer reports, files,
etc. went to the beginning (top of a stack).

And the US military is a good example of what, exactly?

I never said they were a good example. In fact, today's military is nothing
like it was 30 some years ago. Nowadays the military is full of whiners and
crybabies and leeches who are only there to suck up school benefits. Very
few "military" are there for military reasons anymore.

Some object to top posting. If this thread isn't a good example of why to
top post then you're a glutton for punishment.

This thread is not a good example of bottom posting. Neither poster is
snipping the previous posts from their followups. You have compounded
the problem by simply replying to the latest post without doing some
extreme snippage as well. When done correctly, bottom posting is very
easy to read and comprehend.

I'm well aware of that. I was just showing how silly bottom posting can be.
