Scanpst.exe not found? don't be panic, you can repair your corrupted PST file with third party software which is easily available on website.

This file is NOT on my machine (yes ... I have run the search, AND I have
looked in the folder that it is supposed to be in) .... where can I go to
download this ??? ANd why is it not available as a separate download any
where on Microsoft??

I use Outlook 2013 and found it here" C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15
BUT I did a search for *.pst and that was the ONLY way I found it, so type in your search box *.pst and hopefully it will show up for you!

If you are not found scanpst.exe, no problem. you can download free pst repair software from [deleted]

Well! This scanpst is basically meant to be a default tool. You can easily download it but to be precised you can prefer third party software to a permanent solution.

I found the ScanPST file in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
It was not even recognized with a search. Not one forum showed me this. I figured it out by myself. I'm sure this is a problem with most people.
I'm with Lorna on this, searched all drives, hidden files etc and the forums, google etc and then after simply checking where she said, there it was! I found the same file under C:\Program Filesx86\Microsoft Office\Office12
Don't listen to all these so called experts or download third party apps.
