What was the alternative PVR program to use with ATI Radeon 9800 AIW?

Despite its clumsy interface (which to me, boils down to the fact that
the wizard does not start when selecting a program in Guide+), at
least it works.

I found no way to integrate TitanTV with any aspect of MMC.

Is TitanTV free? Does it integrate with MMC?

Does TitanTV support TV-On-Demand like TiVo? MMC's UI is clumsy to
use.--[/QUOTE]

TitanTV is a listings service. The listings can be used in one way or
another by most Windows-based TV-On-Demand applications.

If you've got a scheduler that is set up to work with it, scheduling
programs with TitanTV is trivial--find the listing, click, and then
click through two dialogs. The scheduler that TitanTV recommends for
use with ATI boards is UltimateGuide

FWIW, I've found every listings service including TV Guide to be in
error on occasion--TitanTV doesn't seem to be any better or any worse
than the others I've tried in that regard.

If you're outside the areas that TitanTV serves, XMLTV

look--UltimateGuide lets you use it with MMC.

This looks good. How do they pay for this? Adware?

Looks like the UltimateGuide will work with Gemstar Guide+. I have no
complaints about the Gemstar Gude information, just it's user interface.
The UltimateGuide Scheduler looks like a good product.

FWIW, I tried this combo, and it seems to work great. I like how it
enables you to start the recording x minutes prior to the scheduled
show, and run x minutes past its completion...all from the guide. You
could not do this directly from Guide+...you had to open the scheduled
recording and manually alter it.

The only thing that still irritates me is if you want to automatically
shut down the MMC, you STILL have to open the scheduled recording and
check the box manually. Annoying.

Write them and tell them you'd like to see it on the next build.
Several months ago, I wrote them several times explaining I'd like to
see a pulldown menu so that you could select composite, s-video, or
tuner input. Viola, the very next build, it was included. They are
very friendly folks. About a month ago, Titan made a slight change to
their scripting and UltimateGuide no longer worked. I wrote and told
them, and within 24 hours, they put out a new build and fixed the
problem.
