I'll jump in very quickly here ... no disrespect to you silver as I have used the site myself, but just to issue the obligatory warnings.

If you are not sure what something does, even though BVs site has some good explanations, then leave it alone. There was only ever one 'service' which I would turn off, and MS & SP2 now does that for you. The rest is up to you.


I'll say it again Betty ... your system really could do with a 'clean install' and set-up from scratch. Sorry.
