All the best,
Bjorn Simonsen

Also in any follow-ups, tell us what the program's are.
Answering my own question, using Bjorn's post.

fviewer = font viewer?
No such PCUtil as fviewer. My guess was right, it's fontviewer.

btnboog = ?
ButtonBoogie. Makes your taskbar buttons appear in the order launched.
Unfortunately, InControl5, the best PCutil isn't available?

P.S. Any opinion's on whether rtdos's proposal is legal?

i don't know if it is legal or not. if it isn't then i won't post the
programs themselves but nothing can stop me from posting the filenames
for the programs so that a google search can be used, right? :-)

Right. The page Bjorn identified has a pretty complete listing.
As long as it remains available, I'd just reference it and not
bother with your own listing until the page is no longer there.

From the old threads pointed out by Bjorn, the legality was
doubtful but the consensus was that it is more important to find
alternatives, if we can, rather than send anyone after 'any' PCUtil.

Startup Cop was used until I discovered the Startup control panel by
Mike Lin. It puts them all to shame.

I prefer Startup Cop precisely because it puts all the startup programs in
a single list. Mike Lin's tool is nice, but you have to click around
several tabs to check all the possibilities.
