I am crying with delight and compassion! We've all had our bumps!

: Okay, Guys,
:
: You all are great! I'm going to take you on one at a time until I get my
: site up. So far...when I removed the space from "page 1.htm" to
"page1.htm"
: all kinds of things started happening. My mouth fell open. I'm like
: hmmm..This is the message, "There are 80 pages that have hyperlinks to
this
: page . Do you want to update these pages so that the hyperlinks will not
be
: boken?" And, of course, I said, "yes". Then another thing popped at me.
It
: said and did this, "Renaming pg1 as index.htm." And it did just that. I
: feel like I killed 2 birds with 1 stone. All of my files have a space in
: them so, let me go back and fix my files.

and now before your pages get indexed by the search engines...

go to each page in folder list and click the file name and rename it to
what it is about.

your about page is called page2.htm call it (amazingly) about.htm and so on
..... search engines don't go searching for

example

frontpage tips as page2.htm

they search for the keywords and phrase frontpage tips so if my page is
about frontpage tips I'd call it that frontpage-tips.com

never use a space or a underscore always use a dash ... search engines dont'
see spaces or underscores.

when you name your page name it about what the page is about ... think what
someone searching would use for that particular page... and other basic
pages like about .. should be named for what the page is (deep breath)
about.

before you really get started on your site I suggest you join the below to
learn before you move forward with the site and have to undo a lot of work.
