We've been trying to exterminate Imperial measures (which I think is
what the Americans mistakenly call British measures) since I was about 3, and
I expect that we'll still be working on it when the stick me in the corner of
a field and plant a tree on top of me.
Needless to say, you asked for a pre-paid envelope for sending the
short cable back, but they told you to keep it.
(Personally I find the shorter cables to be more useful. But then my
work/ travel bag carries the best part of a kilo of power leads, plugs,
adaptors, USB hubs, external hard drives ... )
It needs to be said: I didn't ask for a pre-paid envelope, and Tamara
didn't mention returning the short cable. So if they want it back, which I
doubt, they can pay. I gave them no credit card info, and they have none...
that I know of.
I like both cables, short one for visiting friends, long for use with my
desktop, since it has USB ports at the back only.
BTW, to clarify: the word "inch" was used in the literature, not symbols or
abbreviations.
And yes, I'd forgotten that it's Imperial measure, so I today feel a bit
more educated. Canada and Scotland seem to suffer similar metric/Imperial
conflicts, with Canada possibly using metric more, especially in
temperature, kilometer (which is officially pronounced kill-o-meter, but I
say kil-om-eter, as in not thermo-meter), groceries, etc. It's terrible.
