Just when we needed everything.................
At approx 14:30 hrs this afternoon all the magic smoke escaped my trusted old Dell P4 2.4. The autopsy showed PSU went bad all at once, and took most of the mobo, and also the CPU with it, and there was extensive damage to other internal parts. I was present at the time of the meltdown, and the amount of magic smoke escaping was quite a site to be hold. and be smelled.
That rig, was purchased new about 6 yrs ago, and has spent the last 3 yrs or so crunching 24/7 - and I think as produced more points/wu's than anything else I have or had.
So I'll be down a rig for a couple of weeks, while I mourn, and save up the $$ for a Quad.
