Click Start>right-click on Computer>Properties> it's in there in Blue.
Highest is 5.9.
But, it is not an average; it is your lowest score.

some time looking through the report and finding out why your copy of
Vista is so unstable. Mine is at 10.0 and has been for several days now.
The last time mine crashed I looked at the report, saw that the ATI
Catalyst Control Center was crashing even while I slept, so I removed my
ATI card and replaced it with an nVidia. Since then it's all been
uphill. :-)

I recon you are right re ATI Catalyst Control ccc.exe is constantly running
and often won't shut down , any way of permanently stopping it
