What do you mean, "several operations"? It takes one click to go
ANYWHERE in the hierarchy.

I may be too dumb to understand the new way of doing these things. When I
click up there on some folder name it's not obvious to me if I'm moving up
or back or whatever. That's why I want the up button back so that
ignorant people like me doesn't have think and learn. Come to think of it,
that's what "being intuitive" is all about

I am not the only one missing the up button, but I guess you are the one
who should be judging if we're making a good case for it.or not. If we're
not we should not have it, right?

There's always several ways of doing things. Some people like to use the
command line in Windows for file navigation, some like breadcrumbs, and
some like the visual simplicity of an "Up" burron.Take a look here:
